Verified Reviewer | Dacula, GeorgiaOur gutters got clogged - product not 'maintenance-free'
We had Gutterdome installed a few years ago and initially were very pleased with the results. However, over a period of time, pine needles began accumulating on a gutter that was too high for us to reach without a tall ladder.
All the info on Gutter dome, plus what their rep told us, indicated that this should not happen, and our gutters would be maintenance-free. Ha! They also said that if our gutters clogged, they would clean them out free of charge. Double Ha!
The company that installed our Gutter dome product is no longer trading and is not available to clean out the supposedly 'maintenance-free' gutter cover system. And Gutterdome, as the supplier of the product, not the installer, is NOT INTERESTED. So we had to pay to have our gutter cleaned. Lesson learned and we will not recommend this product or similar to anyone else.
Be warned!! If you have pine trees nearby, it ain't going to work.
User's recommendation: Be very wary of promises made which cannot be kept if they go out of business.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product or service ordered. The company did finally send an additional 5 foot section of the leaf guard product..
User's recommendation: I probably would not deal with this company. They give you a long warranty, but no way to get any satisfaction.

Be Careful buying Gutter Dome
I saw the GutterDome booth at a local show. I need leaf and pine needle protection for my home rain gutters.
However, past experience on a rental house made me aware that cheap either doesn't work or doesn't last. The Gutter Dome aluminum and stainless steel mesh gutter covers were the best gutter covers I had ever seen. I, without hesitation, immediately signed up for a free estimate. I was contacted the next day with an appointment the following week.
The salesman gave me the product pitch and measured my house for the needed gutter covers. After some time on a calculator he gave the price that equated to $32.00 a foot. No show discount, no senior or military discount; a take it or leave it price. After some questioning, he did offer a zero interest 24 or 36 month payment plan.
Because of the quality of the product I signed with installation to be in 4 days. Then buyers remorse set in and the total price of the installation brought me back to reality. Still, under the 3 day recision period, I called to cancel the contract. That's when the price started coming down.
Show special discount, senior citizen discount, off season discount and "immediate installation" discount dropped the price by 25%. Still higher than I originally anticipated paying, I gave the salesman a cash take it or leave it price below $20. a foot. Without hesitation, he took it.
I don't think I got a great deal, but the installer, who picked up the check said that I paid about average. Bottom line -Great product, but be careful what you agree to pay.
Are they even still in business???
Tin Men
Gutter-Dome unreliable service
I had Gutter-Dome installed in March of 2017 and for the first 2 years they eventually responded to my calls for service. This has nut been the case since then.
From 2/2/18 until 8/14/18 I have called for service 15 times and have never received a call back. If anyone has a suggestion as to how to get a response from them I would like them to share it. The system does not work as they said it would. Debris piles up in the corners and needs to be removed manually.
According to their warranty at the time of installation "Put away your ladder and just call us". The problem with that statement is that they do not respond to the calls.
Previous Employee
Let the reviews speak for themselves. I was an employee of Gutterdome and I saw first hand the lows that this company would stoop to. If you have them scheduled to come out here are some facts:
-They will send you a pushy salesman that will ask you to spend thousands of dollars TODAY at least 5 times. We were trained to be kicked out of the home before accepting defeat. sell it or kill it was the motto.
-They will send a salesman that is an independent contractor and not licensed by the state of California. What that means for you as a homeowner is that the sales person is not protected by work mans comp or health insurance. This puts you as a homeowner at a serious threat because the nature of the work requires the salesman to get on a ladder! If he falls and becomes injured the homeowner is responsible.
-They will lie to you! They say that the Gutterdome is manufactured in Lincoln, CA. It is not, it is made in japan and they mark it up 10 fold. They will tell you they are the premiere dealer in California, they are not. A company by the name of Quality First Home Improvement Inc. also offers Gutterdome at a significantly reduced price in Sacramento.
-I personally have experienced this company withholding pay when I decided I was tired of working for such a scam of a company. But I was not the first and I certainty wont be the last. The owners are delighted by the fact that as a 1099 employee your pay can be withheld for up to 90 days. They will take advantage of this and harm the little guy if they decide to quit.
-The Owner Mike Miller and Joe Roschival are career salesmen who have recently made the leap into business ownership. They will tell you they have been operating since 2012 but its a lie, they have only been around for 2 years. These two sleazebags are racist con artists. I have numerous recordings of them in meetings making racist and sexist remarks, as well as laughing at "Dome-ing little old ladies". Essentially what "dome-ing little old ladies" means is coercing a little old lady into thinking shes getting a good deal but actually having her pay full or inflated price for the job.
-If you still want to do business with this company then here is a tip, whatever the salesman offers you initially just divide that in half and they will sell it to you at that price. They will play all these games with reducing the price but ultimately the salesman can make the call to sell it at half the price. The salesman will make a $25 dollar gas card (you only make money if you sell at a certain price). If you want the salesman to make money take that initial offering and shave off 30%.
I personally cannot wait to see this company blow away like so many fly by night companies do but it will be my young life's goal to expose these con artists wherever they go. Hey Mike, sue me, I am 26 years old and all I have is student debt.

Not happy
My gutters were not installed like the salesman said, the installer said I didn’t need gutters in the short elbow areas - now it looks unfinished- it looks choppy and it’s not very even.
They don't return your calls!!!
These guys will take your money and run
I would suggest removing a piece of the product to see if it has been flashed with edge metal. California codes state all wood has to be flashed 1" down into the gutter and 3" under the shingles.
they are installing wingless gutter and leaving exposed roof board and facia . This install is non compliant to ca. roofing codes. Don't let your home rot away!
please research the matter before dry rot insues !
they drop the gutter down below the roof board then put a screw into the rafter or facia to get the angle of their dome. You have a law suit ready ,please don't get screwed.20 yr gutter guy!
It Drips All of the Time and Creates Dangerous Icicles!
While the Gutter Dome product keeps debris out, it doesn't do a great job in allowing water in(!). We had Gutter Dome professionally installed (by a "Gutter Dome Master Dealer") on our newly built home in July 2015.
We had the Gutter Dome product installed on all of our 6" gutters. The pitch of our roof is average (~30 degrees) so the speed of the runoff is not an issue. *Every time* it rains, whether light or heavy, rain water drips over the edge of the gutters around the entire house. Also, during the winter time, a greater number of icicles are created and dangerously hang over the roof edge.
We even had the installer put in "high volume" screens (coarser screen material) where the down spouts from a higher roof level joins the lower portion, but this has not solved the problem overall.
My next-door neighbor has a totally different type of gutter top and it works flawlessly. I would not recommend Gutter Dome to anyone and know there are better products out there that not only keep debris out, but will capture nearly 100% of the water coming down.
